Letter to the Editor - Story shows people can escape from debt

JACKSON — I am writing to thank the newspaper for the Oct. 2 story on Jerry and Sue Bailey (“Agency helps local couple dig out of debt.”) Our local and state economies have been hit hard and it’s important to share inspirational stories like this with your readers.

The Baileys came to our agency (GreenPath Debt Solutions) in a dire situation and are to be congratulated on their courage and persistence in reaching this goal — leading them to be named 2011 Clients of the Year by the National Foundation for Credit Counseling.

GreenPath is one of the largest nonprofit debt and housing counseling agencies in the country, and we have a branch office here in downtown Jackson.
