During the April National Youth Savings Challenge, more than 33,350 young credit union members committed to healthy savings habits by depositing $8,401,462 into their saving accounts and certificates of deposit.
Held in partnership with GreenPath Financial Wellness, the 13th annual savings challenge included 93 credit unions that reported an overall average of $252 saved per child.

The National Council on Aging (NCOA) and GreenPath Financial Wellness recently announced a partnership to provide older Americans with unbiased reverse mortgage counseling, among other financial services.
The new CEO of GreenPath likes to begin meetings — and perhaps appropriately given the nonprofit's name — by giving employees a chance to breathe and relax with something she calls "Zen poetry." The small group stands in a tight circle, pauses and then one by one each shares one word.
