GreenPath Offers Six Free Personal Finance Webinars During "Money Smart Week"

During Financial Literacy Month, topics include credit report and scores and protecting your identity;

(FARMINGTON HILLS, MI – April 4, 2014) GreenPath will take part in Money Smart Week, from April 5-12, as part of April’s “Financial Literacy Month.”  Consumers will have the opportunity to participate in activities and workshops that will focus on financial topics including budgeting, credit and savings.  This will be an opportunity to attend a free webinar, download a free financial education program, and consider new ways to save money, improve credit and plan for a bright financial future. Thursday, April 10 at 7 p.m. ET  - Protecting Your Identity - From email scams and phishing to credit card skimming and fake preapproval offers, Identity Theft is on the rise! This course will teach you practical tips on ways to avoid becoming a victim, as well as what to do if you suspect someone has stolen your identity. We are partnering with Affinity Group on this webinar.

Friday, April 11 at 10 a.m. ET - Options for Dealing with Debt - Would you like to learn about various debt repayment options? You will also learn about how much debt is too much, communicating with creditors and how to avoid debt problems in the future.

Friday, April 11 at 1 p.m. ET  - Money Mistakes You Can’t Afford to Make - This course will teach you the 12 common money mistakes people often make in life.  We have discovered the common mistakes that can cost people hundreds of thousands of dollars, and we want to teach you how to avoid them.
