GreenPath to Open New Financial Counseling Office in Brooklyn, NY
Farmington Hills, Mich., June 20, 2008 — GreenPath, Inc., announced today it will open a new GreenPath Debt Solutions office in Brooklyn, NY, next week, starting to support clients as soon as early as Monday, June 23. Two full-time, certified financial counselors will be available at the office six days a week to assist individuals and families seeking to solve financial problems. The new office restores GreenPath’s presence in the borough and enhances the nonprofit agency’s breadth as well as its capacity to develop personalized and rigorous solutions to pressing personal finance issues plaguing New York and the rest of the country.
"We are thrilled to be opening this office and expanding our ability to serve the many New Yorkers who can benefit from our help," said GreenPath, Inc., CEO, Jane McNamara. “Whether they come to us for credit counseling, debt management, housing counseling or any other need, GreenPath is committed to providing every client with compassionate, high-quality counseling and with customized financial solutions.”
GreenPath’s addition of its Brooklyn office, located at 175 Remsen St., between Court and Clinton, means there will be five GreenPath Debt Solutions offices serving the five boroughs now, and a total of six in the state of New York. Their services include pre-purchase housing counseling, foreclosure counseling, personalized budget assessments and debt management programs, through which GreenPath counselors negotiate with creditors to reduce rates, eliminate fees and execute reasonable payment plans. The new office will be more convenient for GreenPath’s many Brooklyn-based clients and addresses a clear need for services.
"The new office is a significant addition to GreenPath’s New York City-area facilities and demonstrates our commitment to the community,” said McNamara. “And, since we’ll be in the ‘right place at the right time,’ we expect to help a lot of people ensure a brighter financial future for themselves and for their families. It’s going to be a real win for all of us.”
