Credit counseling is a free, nonprofit session where a counselor reviews your finances and offers guidance. A Debt Management Program (DMP) is a structured plan designed to lower interest rates, reduce payments, and help pay off debt faster.

What will I need for my initial counseling session?

It will be helpful if you know how much you usually spend each month on living expenses such as utilities, food, gas, etc. We’ll also need to know how much money you and your spouse / financial partner bring home each month

Will my information be kept confidential during debt counseling?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We do not report information to the credit bureaus. And we will not share your information with anyone without your permission. If you begin a debt management program, we will obtain your written consent to contact your creditors in order to arrange payments and service your program.
