A Quick Update from GreenPath World Headquarters

Since the beginning of the pandemic in 2020, countless organizations across the world have taken thoughtful inventory of their workspaces: how they can function effectively in an increasingly hybrid work model and how best to support employees through shifting dynamics.
As these modern definitions of workspaces evolve and adapt, so do we.
With an eye towards continued growth and sustainability, GreenPath Financial Wellness, a trusted national nonprofit since 1961, will be optimizing its operational footprint. This means we are currently exploring options for more efficient use of space in metro Detroit and across the country for our hybrid, national workforce—including the sale of our world headquarters building in Farmington Hills, MI.
To date, in Michigan, GreenPath operates within our Farmington Hills headquarters, the Durfee Innovation Society campus in Detroit, the People Driven Credit Union in Southfield, and a fourth location in East Lansing.
While significant changes can be daunting, we are confident that this direction will continue the positive momentum we saw with our record-breaking financial year in 2022.
Our commitment to helping hundreds of thousands of people create budgets, reduce their debt, and reach their financial goalposts remains steadfast. We extend that same commitment to our internal GreenPath family and our external partners as we look toward an innovative future that meets the demands of a changing market and supports our employees’ needs.

Q: Is GreenPath having financial trouble?
A: No, GreenPath had a successful financial year in 2022 and has strong financial reserves. Since 1961, GreenPath has helped hundreds of thousands of people manage their finances, reduce their debt, and reach their financial goals. In 2023 and beyond, we will continue our mission to empower people to lead financially healthy lives.
Q: Will GreenPath be rebranding or changing its services?
A: No. We will continue to offer the same services we currently provide including financial counseling, debt management programs, and housing services.
Q: Where will the GreenPath Headquarters be located?
A: At present, our world headquarters will not be going anywhere. One of our potential options is to lease our current space from the buyer. We are currently exploring various options to support our hybrid work model and how best to support our employees. More updates to come!
