GREENPATH DEBT SOLUTIONS ACQUIRES CONSUMER CREDIT COUNSELING SERVICE OF MID-FLORIDA

(FARMINGTON HILLS, MI – March 8, 2010) — GreenPath, Inc., a nonprofit consumer credit counseling agency doing business as GreenPath Debt Solutions, announced today that it is now providing in-person credit counseling, financial education, and debt management services in the cities of Ocala, Gainesville, Lake City and Inverness through its recent acquisition of Consumer Credit Counseling Service (CCCS) of Mid-Florida.

CCCS of Mid-Florida has served north-central Florida for 23 years. GreenPath, which was founded in 1961, took over operation of CCCS of Mid-Florida’s four offices on January 1. GreenPath is committed to strengthening services in its Florida communities. “We are very excited to offer residents of north-central Florida the opportunity to meet with a GreenPath financial counselor locally,” said Rus Halsey, GreenPath director of operations. “We look forward to working closely with the existing staff in delivering outstanding counseling, education and debt management services within the community,” he continued.

GreenPath’s central Florida offices will serve consumers through face-to-face and phone appointments. Counselors will also conduct community education outreach and workshops throughout the area. Services include debt and credit counseling, personalized budgeting, housing counseling, financial education, and debt management programs through which GreenPath may help stop collection calls, lower interest rates, eliminate late fees and lower monthly payments.
